Hats off

Make your own 'I Spy' bottle for travel fun!

You will need:
*Empty plastic bottle (Ex: A large orange juice bottle)
*Rice
*Miniature figures & objects

Before you fill the bottle, snap a picture of the objects that will be inside. This photo will serve as your legend or key in the 'I Spy' game. Drop your miniature figurines and objects into the bottle, then fill the bottle halfway with rice.

Super glue the lid shut for mess-free play!

Shake contents to mix up and "hide" your objects in the rice.

(Add a new level to the game, and challenge your kids further with finding the objects in alphabetical order.)

DCT Mom thoughts

by Natalie Jackson:

I love this "discovery" bottle for so many reasons. This would be fantastic sensory play for my baby, shaking and watching the contents inside, and great travel fun for our older son spotting the figures inside in alphabetical order without the help of the legend.
